Energizing Chair Yoga + 20 Min Meditation

About the class
Ever been curious about yoga, but feel intimidated going to a regular class? Have wrist injuries or knee sensitives? Have you had surgery, and aren't quite ready for a regular yoga class yet? Have limited mobility getting up from the floor? Or maybe you're looking to find more comfort in your body and less stress in your mind?
Well this class is for YOU! The first 20 minutes of class will be a meditative experience where we will focus on deep breathing, practice some slow and easeful movements, and cultivate mindfulness. *Feel free to join in for just the first 20 minutes if you're looking for a more gentle practice*
We will the move through seated warm up postures, before moving through a variety of standing postures using the support of a chair. We will finish will some cool down stretches before savasana.
This class allows you to practice movement, strengthen your core, improve hip and shoulder mobility, and work on balance, all while using the support of a chair. This class will definitely get you moving and give you a good, full body practice! Great for ALL bodies and capabilities.
All you need is an armless chair for practice (and maybe a blanket)!
Classes are donation based.
