About the event
Chair yoga is a wonderful practice because it allows all people, no matter your physical cabilities, to participate. I often hear people say that they can't do many things in a regular yoga class because they can't be on their wrists, or their knees hurt, or they lack the flexibility that many teachers ask of them, or they have a hard time getting up and down from the floor. Well this class is for you! Of course, this class is also great for people who work at desk jobs as you can learn different stretches to do in your chair so that you have less aches and pains from sitting at a screen all day!
Done through Zoom, this class will be done completely seated on a chair. There will be an emphasis on deep breathing and slow, mindful movements. We will focus on creating better movement in the joints and we will move through some gentle shoulder, hip, and back stretches. You will receive a zoom link for the class in your confirmation email.
Things you need for this class:
A stable chair with no arms
A blanket (or two) - just in case
A small stool, yoga blocks if you have them, or a stack of books (optional)
This class is donation based. All donations are greatly appreciated, but I understand that times are hard for many of us financially. I would hate finances to be a barrier to your movement, so contribute what you can and if you are able.
